Founded by David Shen, who was born and raised in Tamsui, Taiwan (淡水, 台灣), the restaurant reflects his deep-rooted passion for Taiwanese food culture.
創辦人David 出生並成長於台灣淡水，對台灣飲食文化有著深厚的熱情。
Growing up in Taiwan, David was surrounded by the rich and diverse flavors of traditional night markets and home-cooked meals.
從小在台灣，David 沉浸在夜市小吃與家常料理的美味中。
After moving to New Jersey, he realized that while many Asian restaurants existed, few truly captured the authentic taste of Taiwan.
來到新澤西後，他發現這裡雖然有許多亞洲餐廳，但少有真正道地的台灣風味。
With a vision to bring a true taste of home to Taiwanese immigrants and introduce Taiwanese cuisine to the local community, he established Red Onion Edison.
他創立了紅蔥頭餐廳，希望讓台灣人找到熟悉的味道，同時讓當地人認識真正的台灣美食。
At Red Onion, every dish is crafted with authenticity and care, using traditional recipes that have been passed down for generations.

Our menu features Taiwan’s most beloved street food and home-style dishes, including oyster omelets, crispy pork intestines, popcorn chicken, duck noodles, stir-fried rice noodles, meatballs, Hakka stir-fry, chicken rolls, gua bao (pork belly buns), golden fried rolls, and sour mustard blood soup.
